My qualifications, and registered membership with The British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), provides assurance for you that I hold the appropriate academic training in counselling and psychotherapy. Before a counsellor can work with clients there is a minimum of 4 years academic and practical training.

To become a registered member of the BACP I had to provide evidence from my training provider that I had passed my course as well as taking another exam with BACP before being accepted. To remain a registered member of BACP I have to continue to evidence that I am undertaking their mandatory requirements of adequate clinical supervision, and ongoing continuous personal development.

The proof of qualifications and the BACP memberships allows counsellors to be verified to advertise on Psychology Today and Counselling Directory.

I am held accountable to higher organisation whose ethical framework is there protect clients, and counsellors.
